Centre backs testing, identifying mutant strain in 8 Covid-19 hotspot states

Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir have been advised not to lower their guards, enforce Covid-19 behavior in accordance with violations.

The center on Saturday greatly emphasized testing and identified mutant strains among other steps in the most severe 6 Indian states that were influenced by Coronavirus (Covid-19), resulting in a surge in the country’s daily kaseload.

This comes after the cabinet secretary of Rajiv Gauba leads a meeting of high-level reviews with the Secretary of the Head of State and the Union and emphasized the need for effective testing, comprehensive tracking, fast insulation of positive cases and close quarantine cases.

Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir are eight states and UTS reports high active cooperatives or increased trends in new cases in the past week, data by the Ministry of Health shows.

. Promoting the appropriate behavior of Covid ensures effective citizen communication not to allow increased satisfaction, especially in the light of vaccination drive entering the next phase; and enforce strict social distance steps.

Six states –

Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat – have shown a new surge in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra continues to report a new daily new case at 8,333.

This was followed by Kerala with 3,671 while Punjab reported 622 new cases in the last 24 hours. In the past two weeks, Maharashtra has shown the highest increase in active cases from 34,449 on February 14 to 68,810 today.

The meeting meeting was attended by the Head of Secretary and Senior Health Professional United States together with the Secretary of the Union Health, Director General of Indian Medical Research (ICMR), Niti Aayog empowered group members, and representatives from the Ministry of Home.
