Health minister asks states to focus on ‘community quarantine’

Dr. Harsh Vardhan said the countries must now focus on creating a larger detention zone, known as ‘Community Quarantine’. The Minister also clarified that there was no shortage of vaccines in this country.

Health Minister Union Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Saturday convinced all states that there was no shortage of Covid-19 vaccine in this country. Until now, the center has been supplying 14.15 doses of crore to all states and UTS, including around 12.57 doses of Crore have been consumed, the Minister of Health said to overcome the video conferencing of all the Minister of State and UT. Another tranche of 1.58 doses of crore will reach America in one week, the Minister of Health said. “I quote these numbers so there is no misunderstanding about the availability of vaccines. I gave you all numbers,” Vardhan said.

Clarifying how the center supplies vaccines to the United States,

the minister said that major countries get a supply of 4 days together while for smaller countries, it is a supply of seven days. “So on the 4th day or every 7th day, vaccines are supplied.”

The meeting came as a Covid-19 situation in this country deteriorating in the middle of a report on vaccine, medical oxygen, hospital beds. On Saturday, the BKC Vaccination Center Jumbo Covid-19 was temporarily closed due to lack of vaccines.

At present, there are more than 18 lakh covid-19 beds in this country, the Minister and urge the countries to immediately strengthen health workers.
