NIA arrests 4 drug traffickers in Kashmir narco-terrorism case

Altaf Ahmed Shah of Ganderbal, Showkat Ahmad Parray from Bandipora, Mudasir Ahmad Dar from Shopian and Amin Alaie of Anantnag had been arrested from Srinagar, he said.

Nia on Monday arrested four drug traders in Kashmir because of their alleged involvement in the smuggling of heroin in large quantities of Pakistan and supplied him in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country, an official said.

Altaf Ahmed Shah of Ganderbal, Showkat Ahmad Parray from Bandipora, Mudasir Ahmad Dar from Shopian and Amin Alaie of Anantnag had been arrested from Srinagar, he said.

They have been arrested in connection with cases related to 21 kg of heroin and ₹ 1.35.850 from members of the drug synchronization operating in Jammu and Kashmir.

This case was registered in June last year in Kupwara.

During the vehicle check in Kupwara, Abdul Momin Peer’s Hyunda Creta was accused of being intercepted by the police. During vehicle search, ₹ 20 lakh and two kg of heroin was confiscated.

The arrest accusations were produced before the CJM court in Srinagar and had been taken on transit delivery for three days, the official said, added that further investigation in this case continued.
