Saudi Arabia has taken a number of steps to examine the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19). It also prohibits international flights until March 31
Civil Aviation Union Hardeep Singh Puri said on Tuesday that India sent blank flights to Saudi Arabia to restore localized residents. Saudi prohibits prohibited international flights from 20 countries, including India, last month in an effort to curb the increasing number of cases of Coronavirus in the country.
“Our citizens travel to & from 27 countries with our air bubble settings. Some countries, including Saudi Arabia, have placed the restrictions on the Indian citizens, but, VBM flights continue to bring back Indians from Saudi Arabia,” said Puri Twitter.
“Our plane flew blankly to Saudi Arabia & brought back our citizens stranded there. We will be able to bring Saudi Arabia passengers who are bound so the restrictions on trips to Indians are issued by Saudi Arabia,” he added in the next tweet.
A month ago, the Ministry of Internal Affairs Saudi announced “temporary suspension” flights from India.
Apart from India, flights are blocked from the US, Egypt, Pakistan, Argentina, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Italy, Portugal, Indonesia, Japan, South Africa, England, Sweden, Lebanon, UAE and Turkey.
In December and September last year, the State announced similar steps to make an examination of the increasing coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.
It also announced a series of other steps such as suspending events and parties, including marriage, corporate meetings in the hall, hotels and camps. The maximum number of people permitted in meetings is also limited at the age of 20 years.
It has also forested international flights until March 31, according to the State News Agency Spa.
