Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the leader of the state and the United States who reported a large number of Covid-19 cases on Friday. The meeting came at the time of the nation reported more than three cases of lakh for the past week and also reported the high number of deaths.

The meeting was attended by the minister of house Union Amit Shah, Niti Aayog Member of Health VK Paul, Minister of Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Harsh Vardhan, Arvind Kehlwal, Uddhav Thackeray, Ashok Gehlot, BS Yediyurappa, Pinarayi Vijayan, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Vijay Rupani and Bhupesh Baghel , Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal also attended the meeting. Bengal Bar Barat Bengal Mamata Banerjee could not attend the meeting. Head of Secretary in collapsing Bandyopadhyay represents West Bengal at the meeting, according to news reports by PTI.
