Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that with changing times, the character of threats and wars is additionally changing, adding that within the future, more security-related issues may arise before India.
Attending the Military Literature Festival-2020 via video conferencing, the Defence Minister said, “From another point of view, I find this event vital . With changing times, the character of threats and wars is additionally changing. within the future, more security-related issues may precede us.
”On the difficulty of military literature, the Defence Minister said, “I myself are deeply curious about linking military literature with the folk . My wish is that future generations understand the history of our country, especially the border history.”
“Soon after assuming office, I found out a committee. it’s working towards bringing our border history and its associated wars, to the people during a simple way,” he added.
Rajnath Singh further said, “The think-tanks related to the Defense Ministry publish offline and online researches, journals and periodicals associated with military, strategy, in order that people curious about this subject can reach such materials.”
Talking about the advantages of the festival, Defence Minister said, “Here people can get the knowledge associated with the military through books. By communicating with the officers and jawans, one can get to understand about army personnel’s experiences. One also can study their systems of labor .
”Speaking about the literature on nationalism, he said, “In our country, there’s an old tradition of writing literature within the spirit of nationalism. Be it Hindi or Punjabi, or Gujarati, there are writings in most languages that have awakened and developed a way of affection for country among people.”
“In past , there are scholars like ‘Chanakya’ who have written about warfare, which remains relevant in many respects,” said Defense Minister.
