Union ministers Amit Shah, S Jaishankar get Covid-19 vaccine after PM Modi

The government has announced last week that everyone is over 60 years and those over 45 years old with comorbidity will be able to get Covid-19 vaccine from March 1 for free at government facilities and for allegations in many private hospitals.

Minister of Home Union Amit Shah made him vaccinated on the first day of the second phase of Covid-19 inoculation drive. In this phase, they are above the age of 60 and 45+ with comorbidity being inoculated

Shah was vaccinated by a doctor at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

Minister of External Affairs (MEA) Jaishankar was also vaccinated on Monday. “I have my Jab. For those who are curious, it’s #Covaxin. Feel safe, will travel safely,” he tweeted after getting a shot.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the second second phase of vaccination by making himself inoculated. He was given Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech, throughout the India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.

“Take my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in AIIMS. Exceptional how our doctors and scientists have worked quickly to strengthen the global fight against Covid-19,” Modi Tweeting after taking a vaccine image. “I begged everyone who qualified to take a vaccine. Together, let’s make India Covid-19 for free!” He added.

Covaxin is noble developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR). Besides Covaxin, Oxford-Astrazeneca’s Covishield produced by the Serum Institute of India (SII) is another vaccine managed in this country.

 

PM Modi joins the growth list of world leaders who have received the Covid-19 vaccine.

US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris received the Covid-19 vaccine in December before assuming the office.

In January, the Queen of England Elizabeth, 94, and her husband Prince Philip, 99, was vaccinated against infection by a domestic doctor at Windsor Castle. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres also received the Covid-19 vaccine in the same month.

King of Saudi Arabia Salman received the Covid-19 vaccine in January. His son and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman took a vaccine in December.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a Covid-19 vaccine in December.

Residents will be able to register and order the appointment of vaccination, anytime and anywhere, use a co-win 2.0 portal or through other applications such as Aarogya Setu.
