UP industrial authority plans ‘oxygen grid’ to ease O2 supply during Covid-19

The authority of the Uttar Pradesh State Industry Development (Upsida) has led to provide assistance in increasing the production of oxygen in the state to help coronavirus patients (Covid-19). This initiative was launched on the call given by the Head of Yogi Adityanath Minister, he said.

The upside said that he planned to build ‘oxygen grid’ throughout the state, stretching from Saharapur in the West to Deoria in the East which included all the Uttar Pradesh regions. The authority said he was in talks with various state oxygen producing companies to establish an oxygen production unit in the state.

To track quickly to establish ‘oxygen grid’, the upside has taken several major initiatives, such as freezing land priorities usually in a week and giving quick permission to investors planning to regulate the unit.

In the past year since the emergence of pandemics, the upside has prepared land banks all plots available in various industrial estates and also deactivated detailed road maps to strictly monitor all project proposals received in this matter.

Authority said that 19 medium-sized companies from all Uttar Pradesh have shown interest in establishing these units in various fields of the upside industry with the proposed investment of almost ₹ 503 Crore. These companies are expected to produce 770 tons of oxygen and nitrogen per day. These companies are located in Greater Noida, Saharanpur, Shajahanpur, Bareilly, Mathura, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Basti, Sultanpur, Amethi, Gorakhpur, Want, Varanasi and Prayagraj, said upside.

So far, seven companies have been allocated by mainland, the other four have identified land and in-principle approval for allotment has been issued to them on priority, authority said, adding that the application of the company is expected to be cleaned through fast lane mode.

The Chairman of Yogi Minister Adyityanh said on Monday that the process would establish 300 oxygen plants in Uttar Pradesh to ensure no oxygen crisis in the fight against Covid-19. He was in Ayodhya to review the medical settings made by the District Administration there.

CM also exempts to people who do not dare to get out of their homes no need and come out only after wearing a mask. He urged them not to take a pandemic lightly.
